First day in the search for a
new High Priest

As we all unfortunately know, our beloved High Priest Forcis passed away last October 28, 2022. Since that time, we have been searching for believers with the sacred mark, a four-leaf clover, as the first two humans to set foot on earth had the national symbol of our country tattooed on their skins. To be born with this symbol is considered a blessing and direct connection to our Gods, and therefore the most essential requirement to be the High Priest of the country.

After a long search, three candidates with the sacred mark have been found. They are willing to sacrifice their lives to prove that they are the chosen ones by the Gods to lead Mageía. Their names are:

  • Deo Theodoru (his first name means "divine" and his last name "gift from God"), a 32-year-old man.

  • Briseida Lamprou (her name means "Venus of the wind" and her surname "brilliant"), a 19-year-old woman.

  • Aure Nikolaou (his first name means "breeze" and his surname "the victory of the people"), 45-year-old man.

The selected challenges that the participants will have to overcome are the following:

  • Swimming across the river (in honour of the God of water)

  • Walking on hot stones (in honour of the God of fire)

  • Parachute jumping (in honour of the God of air)

  • Being buried underground (in honour of the God of earth)

  • Fighting a lion (in honour of the Supreme Goddess)

  • The winner will have to celebrate his or her wedding (in honour of the Goddess of love and as the closing act of the competition)

Today, December 10, 2022, the first challenge consisted of swimming across the river that crosses the entire country, the Potámi River, characterized by dangerous currents and sea creatures that have caused numerous deaths in Mageía over the years. During this first challenge they had to swim 100 kilometers and surprisingly, they all overcame it with flying colours.

This afternoon, the second challenge in honour of Fotiá, God of fire, took place. In the Central Place of the capital, a 20-meter passageway was set up with freshly extracted lava stones, through which the candidates had to walk barefoot without being able to run, since the objective was to feel the fire in their feet and be immune to the pain or heat. The most affected one by the challenge was Briseida, but she managed to pass it successfully, as the rest of the candidates did.

These contestants are proving to be direct descendants of Mageía, our Supreme Goddess, and tomorrow we will finally find out who of the three is the chosen one of our Gods.
